the vessel is a geometric form with infinite possibilities of shape. i like the openness of this vessel because it is easy to see the transition between the inside and outside with the sharpness of the edge. this vessel is made from 18 gauge copper with a peanut oil heat patina. while the surface texture is similar to other works, the pattern is different. the ridges are not continuous all the way around the piece. the patina changes like a chameleon with the changing light of day. in sunlight the copper glows with the warm colored light. in cool light, it is completely different. between space is the moment of time between today and tomorrow. return to works
